Children's Yoga Teacher Training Program Itinerary
This is a fun, insightful, and practical training course for yoga teachers of all traditions, schoolteachers, and parents. Previous yoga experience is helpful, though not necessary. Come prepared to move your body and be young at heart!

• Vision time for contemplating your gifts and challenges in working with children
• How to structure and market children's yoga classes
• Using yoga sets to create body/mind changes
• Focus on meditation and pranayama (breathing) with children
• Healthy foods for children
Setting yourself for Success:

The cornerstone of success as a children's yoga teacher is one's personal practice, so we will begin one day with an experience of Sadhana, the transformative power
of daily yoga and meditation.
Group Presentations:
In smaller groups you will collaborate to develop and present a program of children's yoga to the rest of the class. Bring your creative ideas and any props you want to use in your presentation.

RCYP is secular, having no affiliation to any particular religious beliefs therefore making it suitable for all children. RCYP1 and 2 qualify as 20 credit hours for RYT-200 certification(registered yoga teacher, 200hrs) and continuing education credits through Yoga Alliance (www.yogaalliance.com).
Amanda Reid discovered the joy and immense benefits of Yoga in 1992 and has been teaching since 2000. She has teaching qualifications in Integral, Satyananda and Kundalini Yoga, Basic Certification and Advanced Levels 1 and 2 of Yoga for the Special Child programme, Radiant Child Yoga (RCYP1-3 and international facilitator training), and Diploma in Yoga Therapy. Amanda is a RYT-500/E-RYT200 Yoga Alliance teacher and member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, massage therapist and naturopath, utilising complementary therapies, body therapies and Yoga to support infants and children with special needs, pregnant women in conscious birthing and parenting, and adults with chronic health conditions. Amanda teaches RCYP workshops in New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, and South East Asia (including Hong Kong, Cambodia and Vietnam), leads Yoga and Ayurveda retreats, and facilitates a RYT200 teachertraining program in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the UK specialising in Yoga from pregnancy to teens.

Arrival
Please arrive half an hour before course commencement on the first day of each level to facilitate registration. Please come back promptly from breaks. Break times will be advised on the first day.
Sunday will begin with a yoga and meditation practice, followed by a half hour break for
breakfast. Please refrain from drinking coffee or eating breakfast before the workshop
for your own comfort. You will be able to have as much coffee and breakfast as you like
during the break!
Venue
Well Within Yoga & Wellness Centre, Thompson House, MacCurtain Street, Cork City
Centre
The Well Within is on the same block of MacCurtain Street as the Gresham Metropole
Hotel. It is located on the opposite side of the street in the Thompson House Building.
There is a very large sign on the building for 'Starwood.' The Well Within entrance is
almost directly below the multi-story 'Starwood' sign. Ring the intercom next to the red
door to obtain entry. The Well Within is located on the 1st floor.
Directions
From Cork Airport (N27) On exiting Cork Airport you will approach a roundabout, on the main Cork to Kinsale road
(N27). Take the first exit from this roundabout signposted for Cork City.
Go straight down the hill, passing through the two sets of traffic lights, until you reach
the large roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Take the third exit from this roundabout,
signposted for City Centre (N27).
Continue straight on through four sets of traffic lights. You should now be in the second
lane from the left, and be turning left at the next junction (after the Elysian Building - 18
storey building on your right). Following this you need to turn right at the next junction,
as to cross the river. Continue straight on now, until you come to a T-junction, at which
you need to turn left.
You should see the Gresham Metropole Hotel on the opposite bank of the river. At the
next set of traffic lights, turn right to cross the river, go straight through the next
junction, and then turn right at the following set. You are now on MacCurtain Street.

From Dublin (N8)
From the Dunkettle roundabout (next to Jack Lynch Tunnel) follow the signs for Cork City
Centre (do not go under the tunnel). Continue straight on, you will come in the road
along the River Lee, do not cross the river at any point.
Keep going straight on, and you will come to the rear of the Gresham Metropole Hotel
(large yellow painted building from rear), once you have past the hotel, turn right at the
next set of traffic lights. Followed immediately by another right at the next set of traffic
lights. You are now on MacCurtain Street.
What to Bring
Notepad and pens/pencils, yoga mat & blanket or shawl, comfortable clothes
Bring any ideas and resources for class structuring/presentation on Sunday.
Meals
Lunch is not included in the price. There are restaurants, hotels, coffee shops and
supermarkets within 5 minutes walk of the centre where you can have a sit down lunch
or purchase take-away, or you can pack your own. Water, herbal teas and fruit are
provided for morning and afternoon tea.
Transport
Cork is the largest city in County Cork on the South-West Coast of Ireland and is easily

Bus Éireann provide services to County Cork from Dublin, Waterford, Limerick and other
counties. In addition, the Cork City services are operated by Bus Éireann. The bus station

By Rail
The Dublin / Cork line serves Co. Cork with stations at Charleville, Mallow, Cork, Fota and
Cobh. The Dublin / Tralee line serves Charleville, Mallow, Banteer, Millstreet and
Rathmore. Services operate to most of the country from Cork-Kent Station, including to
Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, and Wexford. Cork-Kent Station is located just off Railway

By Sea
The Port of Cork operates seasonal Ferry services to Roscoff. Ferries from Britain
(Fishguard and Pembroke) and France (Le Havre and Cherbourg) serve Rosslare all year.
All year ferries also serve Dublin Port and Dún Laoghaire from Holyhead. The driving time
from Rosslare to Cork City is approximately 3 hours; Dublin is approximately 4 hours from
